Taskmaster Reveals its Series 12 Panelists

The fan favorite UK game show “Taskmaster” recently revealed their new series 12 lineup in an announcement video. They have announced a new blend of comedians and actors participating in this new series. They will be competing to win the taskmaster trophy and various other odd prizes.

The Show has confirmed in the video that host and taskmaster Greg Davies will return alongside creator and “Taskmaster”’s assistant Alex Horne.  During the show, five celebrity contestants must complete comical tasks under pressure. Then, Davies ranks each result and gives each contestant up to five points for their efforts. The contestant who gets the most points would receive a collection of prizes from earlier in the episode.

The first new contestant revealed in the lineup is actor, comedian, and longtime “QI” panelist, Alan Davies. Davies, who has has appeared on the UK quiz show QI since its pilot in 2003. (dailymail) The 55-year-old comedian will be joining the “Taskmaster panel.” Having been in comedy for many years, Davies has gained a large amount of popularity in Britain.

The next contestant which was introduced was comedian Desiree Burch, an American comedian, podcaster and host. Recently, Burch was cast as the entertaining narrator on Netflix’s “Too Hot to Handle” (Elle.com). Burch also has frequently performed stand up comedy on various stages and shows. (desireeburch.com) Her comedic stylings could add up to her becoming a powerful competitor on “Taskmaster”.

Guz Khan, a former teacher turned comedian, is also joining series 12 of “Taskmaster”. (coventrytelegraph) Khan is a comedian, actor and writer. He appeared in “Man Like Mobeen” and Netflix’s “Army Of The Dead – Meanwhile…in Germany”(curtisbrown). Being a former teacher, Khan’s similar history to host Greg Davies could assist him in victory.

Season 12 will also be joined by comedian Morgana Robinson. Robinson, is known for her array of characters and ability to do incredibly accurate impressions of others.  Robinson found fame after being given her own show and appearing on various others. (independant) Robinson is a celebrated comedian but also has found controversy in some of her character work. Her unusual humor can help her win the competition and could make her a fan favorite.

The final contestant is none other than the comedic writer and professional poker player, Victoria Coren-Mitchell. (TheGuardian) Even before the season airs, Mitchell already seems to have a shot at victory. On a podcast, Alex Horne recently spoke about her great personality on the show. After this, we can have high hopes about her time on the show.
