The infamous baggies of blue meth from the hit series “Breaking Bad” will be added to the Smithsonian’s Museum of American History’s collection. The star of the show, Bryan Cranston, believes the items have earned their spot at the museum. He gives credit to the fact that television can change history.

Breaking Bad had five seasons on AMC. The creators thanked Netflix for some success. The show was hardly talked about for its earlier seasons, and Netflix provided fans with the ability to catch-up.

From the fourth to the fifth season, viewers doubled. The series’ finale was watched by 10.3 million.  It has won sixteen Emmys, eight Satellite Awards, and two Golden Globes. The Guinness World Records recognizes the series as the highest rated show of all time. An exhibit in the Smithsonian that will feature props from the show is expected to open in 2018.
