Alexandra Calhoun, senior, is one of the many students at Ashley Ridge who is involved with the arts; she participates in Drawing and Painting 2 and 3-D Design 1. When asked why she creates art like she does, she replied, “I just let whatever pops into my mind flow out and it becomes my art.”

Calhoun does what she loves, and what she loves is creating beautiful art. She believes all art is different and unique; it’s based off of emotions. When Calhoun begins a piece, she projects her feelings onto her drawing or sculpture to make it her own.

To further her artistic abilities, she is hoping to minor in art at Winthrop University in the fall.
