AR Girl’s Basketball Beats Summerville

Ashley Ridge Girl’s Basketball team beat Summerville with a score of 54-37 on Tuesday. Ashley Ridge ended Summerville’s winning streak. The girls are now tied for first place in the region.

Swamp Fox coaches say Tuesday marks the first time the Ashley Ridge girls have defeated Summerville, but first-year Ashley Ridge coach Tron Grant said he hasn’t made that a point of emphasis this season.

“I’ve tried to keep them focused on just winning every region game,” Grant said. “Of course, coming into this game we knew the importance of it and the girls were very excited all week.””
