Two superheroes’ stories clash into this film. Batman, played by Ben Affleck, v Superman, played by Henry Cavill, was a two and a half hour long disappointment. The plot, which was barely there, was confusing.

Superman and Batman view each other as potential threats mainly because of the criminal mastermind, Lex Luthor, who pins them against each other. The two get into a battle, but before Batman can kill Superman with a spear made of kryptonite, Superman says, “save Martha”, which was coincidentally the name of both their mothers.

Luthor had kidnapped Clark Kent’s (Superman) mother as a hostage. Lois Lane, Kent’s girlfriend, arrives and explains that they are on the same side so the only time Batman and Superman actually fight ends quickly. Luthor releases a creature that Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman defeat together. They manage to kill the monster, but as it dies it impales Superman.

Luthor is arrested. Clark is pronounced dead, but in the closing scene dirt is seen rising from his coffin.

The film was way too long to sit through and the plot was just not enjoyable.
