Ashley Ridge graduates Micah and Jermiah Bohon have both qualified for the Olympic Trials. The Olympic Trials are scheduled for June 26 through July 3 in Omaha, Nebraska.

“More excited to have the opportunity to go and compete not only with my team but especially with my brother,” said Micah Bohon.

The swimmers with the top times at the Olympic trails will earn a spot on the U.S. Olympic Swim Team and get to compete in the 2016 Olympic in Rio this summer.

Micah Bohon swims for the University of Tennessee Women’s Swim Team. She made the cut in the 200-meter Individual Medley and 100 Backstroke events. Jeremiah Bohon swims for the University of South Carolina Men’s Swim Team. He made the cut for the 100 Backstroke Sunday during the NCAA Championship.

The twins have many swimming accomplishments ranging from City Meet ribbons and records to All- State and All-American honors. They started swimming competitively at age 7.

The SEC Championships marked the first time this year the twins competed in the same meet. Micah made “House Divided” T-shirts for their parents to wear to the Championships.

Jeremiah is majoring in biology in the hopes of pursuing medical school while maintaining a 4.0 GPA and training for 20 hours. He even managed to stay on the Dean’s list and President’s list.

Micah, who juggles the same training and schedule with her courses, is majoring in Sociology and criminology. She want to pursue a career as a forensic detective.

“I’ll practice 9 times a week; each practice is close to 2 hours sometimes 2 and a half included weight training,” said Micah Bohon.
