May 21, Summerville High School will be hosting the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. The event will start at 11 a.m, and go until 11 pm.

At 11 a.m, the event will open up with an opening ceremony which will feature a special survivors and caregivers lap. For survivors and their registered guest, lunch will be provided.

During the event, there will be a cake walk, team scavenger hunt, kids fashion show/relay, handmade gifts, and games for everyone to participate in.

A Luminaria Ceremony honoring cancer survivors and those who lost to cancer will begin at 9 p.m., and there will be a closing ceremony at 10:30 p.m. TJS.

The Relay for Life Committee is still looking for entertainment for the event.

The event will  be fairy tale themed, so be sure to dress up!
