The 2016 Presidential Election is knocking at America’s door ready to take in a new Commander in Chief. With political views aside, each of the candidates have their own baggage they carry;however, where do we draw the line?

With the public eye being on Trump more than ever in the past few years, many parts of his personal life have been exposed. The most recent episode Trump has had was a tape recording and video released by Access Hollywood.

In the recording, Trump made extremely derogative comments about a women whom he had previously met and other remarks about women in general. “You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything,” said Trump.

I, as a young teenager maturing into a woman, do not understand how his supporters can justify his behavior. Trump has said that his conversation with Billy Bush was just ‘locker room talk’ and that it is what athletes do behind the scenes. However, I disagree. I feel Trump is using that phrase as a cop out to what he did. I think by using that phrase, he is saying that because no women were around him to hear his remarks, then that makes it okay.

“I feel completely disgusted by what he said,” said Junior Olivia Wright. “It was definitely not okay.”

The American people should always be willing to forgive, but this is not Donald Trump’s first harassment towards women. If he become the next President, we can’t automatically expect that this will be his last lash out again women.

These infractions are not what a President should be involved in. We can not tolerate a person who brags about taking advantage of women. Donald Trump cannot be the next President of the United States.
