Everyone knows what the picture perfect breakfast looks like. Commercials everywhere tell us that breakfast is the most important meal of the day;however, they never really say why.

For all of you wondering if breakfast is actually important or if it is just something adults say, it’s actually true. Breakfast is most beneficial for kids and teenagers with day loaded with school, after school activities, and sports practices.

According to Kids Health, “kids and teens who eat breakfast have more energy, do better in school, and eat healthier throughout the day.” Breakfast is just what one needs to start their day off correctly. Generally by the time lunch rolls around, it may be too late to capture enough energy for the day.

I try to eat breakfast every single morning whether it means grabbing a granola bar and a banana or eating some oatmeal and toast. Something is always better than noting at all.

As stated in WebMD, breakfast adds a good balance to meal plans especially when trying to control weight and manage the correct nutrition.

“I don’t eat breakfast at all. I need to do better with that because I might feel better during the day,” said Julian Sidletsky.

Not only is breakfast important, but it can taste really great too if you eat the right food. Change your lifestyle starting today.
