On Thursday, April 20th, we will host our annual Swamp fest. It is a district wide field day for students with special needs. This day is filled with tons of activities and fun for students across the district, from elementary schoolers to high schoolers.

Every year Ashley Ridge has a day for children from other schools to spend the day at Ashley Ridge to do different games and activities. All the students are paired up with AR students who accompany them throughout the day. The students participated in several carnival games with the assistance of their buddy.

Some of the students also run booths with different clubs and classes they’re in. Some of the booths we’ve had include: a puppy booth where students can play with puppies in the grass, a coloring booth, a dancing booth, a soccer booth, a petting zoo, a hayride, a morocco making booth, etc.

Swamp Fest is a great activity to do and it’s fun for all the students to participate in. This is definitely going to be an exciting day that you won’t want to miss
