After apparent feelings of distrust and loyalty, President Donald Trump has fired his FBI Director James Comey. The public and the American press has been scrambling trying to understand why the President made the executive decision to release Comey.

Earlier in the week, Trump gathered with his Attorney General, Jeff Session, and his Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein to speak about the ‘questionable’ behavior of Comey. Rosenstein reportedly discusses his concerns about Comey to Trump after Comey said that Clinton case should be “closed without prosecution.”

According to CNN, “evidence suggests Comey was actually fired because of the Russian investigation” earlier in the year.

The White House Counselor, KellyAnne Conway, made a stamen on the chaos and backlash the President is receiving. She stated that, “This is a president who saw that the FBI director had lost the public confidence, the confidence of Republicans and Democrats.”

The only real comments the President as made about this topic have been his tweets.

This month he stated, “FBI Director Comey was the best thing that ever happened to Hillary Clinton in that he gave her a free pass for many bad deeds! The phony…”

Many are confused as to why Trump fired someone so early in his term; however, others are not surprised of his actions.
