Every student has been bullied at some point in school, whether it’s because of the kind of clothes they wear or it’s because of their looks. People today are still getting bullied by others. We need to put an end to bulllying and start preventing it from happening.

Something positive students learn from by being bullied is that they’ve already experience the taste of what the real world could be like. It, however, gives them a chance to warm up and speak up for themselves. They would be able to know how to protect themselves through self-defense and independence.

Most of the time, but not always, if there’s a victim that’s being bullied, it would give them a sense of protection that could help them to overcome their fear of the bullies and become stronger mentally than before. There are students who are fighting their way out of this complicated and devastating situation. Bullying can sometimes change students’ life going through these experiences.

The website, https://learning.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/09/01/how-should-schools-address-bullying/, said “The law also requires districts to appoint a safety team at each school, made up of teachers, staff memebers, and parents, to review complaints.” This is true because all schools should have a group of workers that could provide a way to end a bullying situation. No one wants to deal with it alone.

Also, the negative view of bullying is that it sometimes lead to suicide for most students. Students tend to feel lonely, depressed, and worthless because bullies make them feel that way. Another effect is that it could cause students to bully in return to make them feel the same way he or she is feeling.

All bullies need to be reached out. They may have problems of their own, which could be inside or outside of school, that may have caused them to act in a violent or hurtful manner. Bullying can happen like a chain reaction.

People continuously remain silent and pretends to be okay. Nobody shouldn’t hold back and let others ruin their reputation. Tell a trusted adult! If somebody can’t defend themselves, at least tell an adult such as a teacher, principal, or the school counselor.

We wish to prevent any suicide caused by students who are being bullied today. Bullying is not okay and shouldn’t be tolerated. It causes people to lower their self-esteem and hurt them in the long run. This is why it should be put to an end!
