Nicole Freeman: ARHS Senior

Nicole Freeman, a senior here at AR, is preparing to graduate in this year’s class of 2018. After graduation, her next step is college, and from there, only she knows. We interviewed Nicole to get an inside look at her steps to success and her hopes for the future.

Here at Ashley Ridge, Nicole has been a proud participant in sports and extracurricular clubs. She is on the Varsity Volleyball team and has been an active member is the HOSA club. She also attends the Vocational School every afternoon for nursing while maintaining good grades and a job at the Charleston Bakery and Delicatesson.

Nicole was accepted to the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. She will attend the college in the fall for nursing and plans on being there for four years. She told us that she chose this school because she believes it will benefit her in the future.

After college she hopes to return to the area, most likely around Mount Pleasant or Charleston. When asked where she saw herself in five years she replied, “Starting med school and maybe working at a hospital.”

She later offered adivce for those who plan on going to college, “Don’t wait till the last minute to prepare, start in your freshman year and buckledown on your grades.”

Nicole has high hopes for her future in medicine and is willing to work for her dreams. She is a role model to those around her because she shows how hard work and dedication will pay off in the end.
