The Ashley Ridge boys varsity basketball team are looking to make a big and meaningful impact in the upcoming season, especially since they have a coaching change.

New head coach Curtis Capers says he is very excited to see what the future holds for his team. “We have worked very hard over the summer and is ready for the foxes to show what they can do.”

Last season the foxes had a great season finishing the regular season 15-6 with big wins against rivals Fort Dorchester and Summerville. The foxes entered the playoffs as  the number 3 seed which meant they had to face the Socastee Braves leading the way for the  swampfoxes were senior Kyle Tierney, junior Jamal Edmonson, and sophomores Hampton Summerhill and Rashad Brown. Unfortunately the foxes well short losing the game with a score of 66-64.
