Nipsey Hussle Found Dead

On Sunday, March 31st, rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed in Los Angeles just outside his clothing store, The Marathon Clothing.

The shooting occurred around 3:20 p.m. in the Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue area. Two other people were injured (CNN). Officials say Hussle passed away from gunshot wounds to the head and torso (NBC).

The shooting was caught on surveillance provided by CNN.

The shooter, identified as Eric Holder, age 29, approached Hussle and two other men, fired multiple times, and fled in a waiting vehicle driven by an unidentified female (NBC).

Since the news of Hussle’s passing broke out, celebrities and fans have shared their condolences. On Monday, a vigil was held for the rapper. It ended in a stampede that injured 19 people after the crowd was sent into a panic.

Meghan Aguilar, a detective for the Los Angeles Police, said the scene was “absolutely chaotic” as “people scattered in all directions.”
