On Tuesday, February 25, a post was made on Snapchat threatening Summerville High School. The post was made by a user called “Hippo.”

Authorities are investigating the messages that were shared over social media. These messages include “See you at summerville high tomorrow babygirl let’s go out with a bang,” and “good luck Summerville.” These messages were shared with a picture of a gun.

Screenshots were sent to News 2 from several families that showed the messages and displayed a firearm.

A robocall was sent out on Tuesday night, so everyone was aware of the threat. Police have been notified of the threats and are taking it serious. There will be increased security at Summerville High School to prevent anyone from getting harmed.
