Two Confirmed Cases of Coronavirus in SC

As of March 10, 2020, DHEC has seven cases of Coronavirus in South Carolina. Two are confirmed in Camden, S.C., which is roughly two and a half hours away from Summerville. The other five cases are people believed to have the illness and are under watch. Three of the cases are in Camden and three of the five cases were in direct contact with one of the confirmed cases. The other two have been in Italy or France recently and have just come back to South Carolina. One case is in Spartanburg (roughly three hours away), and the last is thought to be close to home in Charleston County (roughly 45 minutes away).

DHEC also tested a little over 70 people for the illness with 24 coming back negative, while 56 people in the South Carolina area are under watch for Coronavirus.
