“The Visit” Review

M. Night Shyamalan’s The Visit was released on September 11, 2015. While it is categorized as a horror film, the audience could not help but laugh in certain parts of the movie. What was intended to be scary ended up being comical. Some might also say it could be categorized as mystery.

Becca (Olivia DeJonge) and her little brother, Tyler (Ed Oxenbould) go and visit their grandparents, whom they’ve never met, for a week. During their stay, Becca and Tyler start noticing strange things  Nana (Deanna Dunagan) and Pop Pop (Peter McRobbie) are doing. Becca, while documenting a video about her grandmother’s life, catches all the acts of strangeness on her camcorder.

The film is not worth watching in a movie theater. Your money could be spent on better activities. The Visit is very strange and unpredictable movie, and would be a great movie to watch with friends and to make fun of.
