Former NBA superstar, now TV personality Shaquile O’Neal, pays off funeral debts for a 11-year-old boy who was killed in a car crash in St. Martin Parish.

The crash happened on Friday, April 10. Eleven-year-old Keshon Batiste and 12-year-old Trayvon Alexander were in the backseat when their car hit a tree, and fell into a ditch.

Shaq created a GoFundMe, only raising 3 thousand for the deceased boys. After learning that the money was still short, Shaq decided to pay for the funeral of both boys out of his own wallet. The Alexander family politely declined the offer because they had insurance.

Not only did Shaq pay for the funeral debts, he bought both of the families three sets of brand new TV’s and an Xbox with all the new games for them.

The deputy that told Shaq about the incident said “He’s a big man, and his heart is even bigger” (Keloland). Both of the families expressed their gratitude towards Shaq, and are grateful towards him.
