Ellen DeGeneres has always been a figure of happiness and positivity, but recently, staff from her show have spoken out about the toxic work environment on her show.

An employee that worked at her mansion said that Ellen would agonize workers over tiny mistakes and enjoyed firing people. The source also claimed: “Ellen was the worst person that I’ve ever met in my life. She takes pleasure in firing people… She treated you like you were nothing” and “She was going to torture you and you were just going to sit there and listen to it because you were being paid,” (Daily Mail).

After these claims were made public, staff from her show revealed that “racism, bullying and sexual harassment were rife on set” (Daily Mail).

Despite all the controversy surrounding her, Ellen’s show is scheduled for a new season to air on Sept. 21. “I cant wait to get back to the studio. And, yes, we’re gonna talk about it.” Ellen stated in an announcement regarding the show’s return (Los Angeles Times).

If you would like to watch her newest season, tune into NBC on Sept. 21 to watch.
