After the Storming of the American capitol by Right Wing Extremists, an interesting situation has developed.  Democrats are arguing that even though Trump did not tell the rioters to storm the capitol, he still instigated conflict by telling his supporters in the weeks beforehand that the election was rigged.  This caused him to be banned from all of these social media platforms: Reddit, Shopify, Twitch, Google, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok. The Democratic party also wants Trump to have consequences of his supporter’s attack, because even though he will be leaving the presidency on Jan 20, they are trying to impeach him on charges of inciting violence on that very day. This will damage his reputation, and possibly make it impossible for him to stay in politics.

Republicans do not like that Trump may be impeached and forced out before he has a chance to leave by himself, and so they are striking back. Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene wants to begin an impeachment on Joe Biden. (Black Enterprise 50) For now, it can’t be sure if she will get a majority vote in order to change the election because many Republicans do not have enough hatred towards Joe Biden to impeach him.

The plan is to begin the impeachment on Jan. 21, right after Biden has entered office. Green explains her reasoning as, “I would like to announce on behalf of the American people, we have to make sure our leaders are held accountable, we cannot have a President of the United States who is willing to abuse the power of the office of the presidency and be easily bought off by foreign governments, foreign Chinese energy companies, Ukrainian energy companies, so on January 21, I will be filing articles of impeachment on Joe Biden”  (Syracuse.com). It seems she may go after the scandals involving Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, and the forgivable loans given to him by other countries.
