How to Reduce End of the School Year Stress

Riley Minor, Editor

As the school year is coming to an end, most students may find themselves stressing out over their final exams, their afternoon jobs, and their summer plans. Fortunately, there are many ways to reduce this stress and make things easier.

One of the first things you can do to get rid of some stress for exams is study. It may seem like that is counter productive, but most of the stress and worries about exams comes from the fear of not doing well on exams and failing them, but if you study, you will feel more confident in your ability to do well.

Another thing is talk to your teachers about deadlines if you’re bombarded with work. Most teachers will understand if you talk to them about your situation and make exceptions to help you succeed.

If you’re stressed about work and how it’s affecting your school, ask your boss if you could get scheduled a little less during the end of the school year so you have time to study, get homework done, and take time to yourself. If your boss knows you’re in school, they should also understand that work cannot be your whole life.

At the end of the day, there are always people for you to talk to. This will pass and you will survive.
